The Story of BakePlateâ„¢
Throughout our time at University, we have come to realise that ovens often don’t work exactly as they say they do. Oven temperatures constantly fluctuate, meaning cooking times are unpredictable and results aren’t as expected. Even when we had followed the cooking instructions, we were often left with unevenly cooked food and soggy chips, wondering what went wrong. This led us to the conclusion that the problem might not be with us, but with our ovens!
As an engineering undergraduate, Robbie started the ball rolling suggesting that we should try to create a product to make ovens more reliable. We then approached a local steel manufacturing company in Malmesbury and asked if we could develop a prototype to test our theory! This was how the MiraclePlate was born.
With a MiraclePlate in our oven, our food was suddenly cooking evenly, without the need to reposition it halfway through cooking. Since it was so effective and easy to use, we believed we should share it with the world, which is why we have created the Kickstarter!

What are the payment options?
Currently, we are only accepting payment through our kickstarter campaign. The money is only taken from your account once our campaign is complete. After this, we will accept payments through PayPal and most major debit and credit cards.
What do I do if theres a problem with the product?
If the product is faulty please contact us and we can arrange for a refund or for a new plate to be sent out to you. We would love to hear your feedback.
Where is this product made?
From start to finish, our product is made in the UK. Our team is based in Wiltshire, and the Sweetnam and Bradley factory which produces the product is also based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.
How can I order?
Until our Kickstarter campaign is complete, we are not taking orders through our website. However, if you back us on kickstarter we will send the product out to you as soon as the campaign is compete.
